Melissa Bryson and Kylie Beasley are Deaf early Childhood educators. This session is for parents looking to understand how to best support their Deaf/Hard of Hearing children’s language development, and communication skills in Auslan (Australian sign language). 

Throughout their presentation, they will discuss:

  • Differences in Deaf/HH children in their language acquisition
  • Understanding language fatigue in Deaf/HH children and how to support them
  • Closing the gap : How to support Deaf/HH children’s language skills in reading and communicating for self expression
  • Meal time chat why it’s important and how to make it inclusive
  • Play signs, and how to include rhythm and music in play time

Time will be made for Q&A session also
